LODE KUYLENSTIERNA
FILM WORK ABOUT BROTHER
Lode Kuylenstierna is a Swedish filmmaker and visual artist working between cinema and contemporary art. His work returns to themes of twinhood, exclusion, vulnerability, and the fragile structures of belief, submission, and belonging that shape modern identity.

He studied film at Stockholm Film School before completing his BFA and MFA at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm. His hybrid film Homo Sacer (2015) premiered at CPH:DOX and screened at international festivals including Göteborg Film Festival, Tempo Documentary Festival, Krakow Film Festival, Nordic Panorama, and Way Out West. Earlier works have been presented at festivals such as Hamburg International Film Festival and Göteborg Film Festival, while the short film Life out of Balance (2012) was presented at the Cannes Short Film Corner.

Alongside filmmaking, Kuylenstierna’s artistic work has been exhibited at institutions including Växjö Konsthall, Sven-Harrys Art Museum, Gävle Konstcentrum, and the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm. He is currently completing the short film The Sane Society, developed from a fragment film series exploring contemporary identity, and preparing the premiere of Den Osmidige (The Tactless Man) in 2026. His debut feature film Kingdom Hall is in development.
